Hi, Berry ...

WordPress strips out any formatting such as tabs, double spaces between sentences, and double paragraph returns. These formats are leftover from the older print days, but they no longer necessary for readability online. To keep things streamlined, most online programs (including WP) is ignore the extra formatting.

Also, while its WYSIWYG is better, it sometimes doesn't display the post as it will be finally rendered. We recommend that you use the Preview button so you can see what it will look like before you publish.

Good luck! ContentRobot

Why won't my tabulation hold up when I post to my BLOG? It sometimes looks OK in the pre-view, but still scatters when I actually post

Ok, here's a question I am desperate to find an answer to...

I have a LONG word document, that I would like to break into pieces and then, post to my blog. Now when I say long, I'm talking in excess of 100 pages.

I am excited that this will consitute a couple of months of blog posting, but I am wondering if there is any software that will take the document, split it up, and then schedule posting.

There is something called WhizFolder (I think) that has a watch command, so that anything that gets saved into the 'folder' then gets published. That is great, now I'm wondering if I will need to make two softwares work together, or is there a one software solution anyone has heard of....?
thanks

Simon ...

By using the "kitchen sink" icon, you can paste in Word into the WordPress editor ... We still pop over to the HTML tab to do some clean up, but the process is fairly quick and painless.

Using a text editor is the best way I have found to clean up my Microsoft Word text when blogging.

It's not a blog template, but authoring your blogs using a different tool:

- Type and format directly into the WYSIWYG editor

- WordPress has a "Paste From Word" button that allows you to copy content from Word and remove most of the offending HTML remnants

- WordPress has a "Paste as Text" button that allows you to strip all the Word formatting (you can format in the WYSIWYG editor)

- Paste your document into Notepad (to strip formatting) and reformat in the blog's WYSIWYG editor

- Use an external editor (Adobe Contribute, ScribeFire - a Firefox add-on, or even Microsoft's own Live Writer)

Is there a blog template that solves these issues?

If so, please advise where to find it.

Thanks.
