Blogging from BlogWorld

The ContentRobot team landed in Las Vegas this morning! For the next two days we will be attending BlogWorld & New Media Expo.

We are planning to network with a bunch of attendees, as we traverse the conference floor and attend a variety of blogging, web 2.0, and social networking sessions.

We are looking forward to meeting with several bloggers and industry developers that we have spoken to since starting ContentRobot. We were very pleased to get some invites to some cool parties this week.

We took some photos with Dana’s iPhone and uploaded them to Flickr! Check out today’s pix and watch this space for more blogging from BWE.

Automattic Includes ContentRobot Among its WordPress Consultants

More WordPress news to report!

Automattic, the developers of WordPress, has added ContentRobot to its list of WordPress Consultants.

We were pleased to be asked and excited to be included.

Apple + WordPress = iWPhone (+new version!)

You know it’s a good week when two of your favorite companies call just to thank you for the work you have done. We are talking about Apple and Automattic, who both called ContentRobot to chat about our iWPhone WordPress Plugin and Theme. We were tickled pink to hear from both of them in one week and really excited to hear of their interest in our work.

We developed the iWPhone plugin out of our love for Apple products, our passion for the WordPress platform, and to provide the blogging community with a free tool to easily enhance their blogs. We’d like to thank all of the many users of iWPhone for the positive feedback (and trackbacks) - it really does make it worth it to know our work is appreciated.

We are also happy to announce a new update to the iWPhone WordPress Plugin and Theme that adds support for Apple’s new iPod touch.

ContentRobot Partners With Stephanie Agresta Consulting

ContentRobot has had the pleasure of meeting a fantastic bunch of people since we started our business blog development company over two years ago. Along with our growing network, we are grateful that our clients have introduced us with others all over the country.

This past January, we connected with Stephanie Agresta, aka Internet Geek Girl. An expert in the Web 2.0 space, she offers customized online marketing programs, including search engine marketing, mobile marketing, podcasts and blogs. She also understands and can help clients take advantage of affiliate marketing, business development, and internet strategy. Finally, Stephanie just “knows everybody!”

As we worked together on a few projects, and become evident that our two companies’ skill sets really meshed. She asked us to become her exclusive blog partner and we’ve accepted the challenge.

We look forward to developing blogs for her clients. ContentRobot will also be able to offer our clients enhanced services through Ms. Agresta as well. It’s a great next step for both of us, and we are very excited to share this news with everyone.

The End to Radio Silence

Isn’t it frustrating to turn on your radio and tune into your favorite station, only to hear absolutely nothing? You’re thinking: What happened to them? Are they coming back? How long will it take until I hear my music again?

Unfortunately, the same thing can occur on blogs, too. And we certainly have not been blogging much this spring. We give a special shout out to those who are still with us – and we wanted to let you know that we fully expect (and you deserve) more regular posts from us.

So where have we been? ContentRobot has been privileged to be extremely busy with new clients, partners and several complex and interesting blog projects. Here’s a sampling:

ContentRobot News: Wrapping Up 2006

ContentRobot had a busy last quarter of 2006, and we wanted to share the highlights with you.

Education Insider
In October, we launched Education Insider. This blog-powered web site was designed to report on Austin, Texas public school policy and information. We originally developed the blog to handle paid membership, however, later this month, you will no longer need to become a member of the site to see all its contents. In case you missed it, read our case study and go check out the site.

SNOWatHOME
November was devoted to SNOWatHOME, a small company which manufactures snow machines for both home and business use. ContentRobot provided our technical expertise and added a bunch of functionality to their site (along with a adapting a new look for them). Read more about this project and see the new website.

Shop.org
Shop.org launched their blog in December. Less than a month old, they have changed course a bit and have decided to open their members only intra-blog up to the public. ContentRobot has assisted them in developing the blog and meeting the organization’s evolving needs and goals. See the case study and site.

We enjoyed 2006 and are looking forward to meeting new clients and friends in 2007.

Bazaarvoice Up for Another Award

Our client, Bazaarvoice, was nominated for ClickZ Marketing Excellence awards.

This Austin, Texas-based company helps clients such as Home Depot, Macy’s, Sears, CDW, Overstock and many others capture, analyze and amplify online word of mouth from their customers.

You can go vote for them here.

ContentRobot congrats Bazaarvoice for their continued success and recognition.
