- MySpace - one of the original social networking sites, has finally treated to a well-needed design update
- Flickr - the founders of this Web 2.0 photo-sharing site have left Yahoo (Flickr has been under fan scrutiny since its 2004 Yahoo acquisition)
- Yahoo! - Yahoo is opening up two email domains, so you can get yourself a rocketboom.com or ymail.com address @ noon PST today
- Apple - iTunes Store has now sold over five billion songs from its catalog of over eight million songs
- Microsoft - Bill Gates set to “retire” from his day job on June 27
- Firefox - Users downloaded the new Firefox 3 browser over 8.3 million times within 24 hours
