We Fix WordPress Blogs

ContentRobot has always enjoyed being as a full-service blog development company, as we provide offerings such as technical, design, content, marketing, training, and more. We are proud of launching blogs and blog-powered websites for a variety of clients in a variety of industries.

Then in early 2008, we were invited to speak at Affiliate Summit and lead a roundtable discussion about blogging and our WordPress expertise. We were surprised at what we learned during this session, and from the bloggers we met during the conference. We fielded questions like:

  • How to best use WordPress (What makes a good post, gaining readers, etc.)
  • How to find a good theme (Free vs paid vs custom)
  • How to implement the best-in-class plugins (What were they? How many should they use?)
  • How to keep the software up-to-date (Upgrading was too hard and very baffling for most)
  • How to back up the blog (Restoring content if something goes wrong)
  • How to add simple functionality to their sidebars (Adding widgets, advertising, blog elements, etc.)

And more serious issues, such as:

  • Blogs that were no longer functioning with incompatible/dated plugins
  • Broken databases causing visible errors
  • Hacked sites that took blogs offline
  • Underperforming hosts that served up slow sites

Once we came back home we were able to help many of these bloggers in need. We found that we enjoyed using our expertise to help “fix” blogs and get them back into back in shape, often quickly and easily. These formerly frustrated bloggers were happy to no longer fight with their issues and just get back to blogging.

ContentRobot then decided to offer a service that assists bloggers who didn’t need the soup-to-nuts treatment, but more likely short-term fixes and updates.

We launched WeFixWP in September 2008 to meet this need. To further help the community, we launched a blog and use Twitter to impart our knowledge with tips and techniques for all.
