What is WeFixWP?

WeFixWP was developed to offer bloggers who need quick fixes and tweaks on their sites that they can’t (or don’t want to) perform on their own. Among the services we provide:

  • Theme enhancements, improvements, and fixes
  • Additional blog functionality via programming, 3rd party applications, widgets, and plugins
  • Software upgrades and plugin updates, including maintenance plans
  • Database fixes and optimization
  • Recovery from hacks and other installation/upgrade errors
  • Security and performance audits to get you running better
  • Blog migrations to better WordPress hosts
  • Conversions to WordPress from most other blogging platforms

How it all started: Sometimes you just have to get out of the office for inspiration.

During our early years, ContentRobot was “fingers-to-the-keyboard” busy, spending much of our day to creating some pretty complex blogs and blog-powered websites (at least for its time). As we gained clients, we were also gaining some serious blogging experience.

ContentRobot was then invited to speak at the 2007 Affiliate Summit West to share our WordPress expertise with the attendees. As we listened to the people who visited our roundtable, we kept hearing over and over that WordPress was great, but it was just too darn technical to do certain things.

And these attendees were not newbies, rather they were some seriously technically-savvy online marketers. We wondered what was the experience of those who were not technical?

The frustration was palpable – these people just wanted to blog, not have to put on a geek hat every time they logged into their dashboard. We helped everyone we could that day, and the bloggers kept coming up to us long after the session was over.

Toward the end of the conference, we were approached by a guy from Singapore whose site was in bad shape. Could we please take a look at it and work through a bunch of fixes that it required? Of course!

We got all the access and credentials that we needed and went to work. In a few hours, we were able to fix, enhance, upgrade, and more. As a result, we also made someone very, very happy. This (naturally) also made us very happy, too!

What if we offered this as a service for anyone who needs some quick help? From the desire to help bloggers in a bind, we launched WeFixWP. We still enjoy helping those who need our expertise, even if we don’t have to get out of the office to do it.
